About the Summit
One day, one shared goal: Safer workplaces and communities.
The Safety Outreach Summit brings together safety leaders, risk professionals, and community partners from across Florida. Presented by the Planning Committee, the Summit unites the public and private sectors behind one goal: Safer workplaces. In practice that means fewer people hurt on the job, employers who can recognize a hazard before it becomes an injury, and agencies and private employers working from the same playbook instead of learning the same hard lessons separately, one incident at a time.
The day is built for practitioners: sessions cover the hazards Florida employers are managing right now, and the exhibit hall gives attendees direct access to the vendors, trainers, and agencies who can help them close the gaps they find when they get back to the workplace.
That includes HR professionals who wear two hats. At many small and mid-sized employers, the person running HR is also the person responsible for safety, often without a safety background or a dedicated team behind them. The Summit gives them practical answers for both sides of that job, and a room full of people who have handled the same problems.
Sponsors get time in front of the people who decide what their organizations buy and how their employees get trained.
Agenda
Built for knowledge transfer, not just attendance.
Speakers for each session are being confirmed now. Sessions run alongside open exhibit hall hours, so there is time to work the vendor floor without missing the presentations.

Giving Back
A day about protecting people, held somewhere that feeds them.
The 2027 Summit is hosted at Feeding Tampa Bay, the regional food bank that distributes millions of meals a year across ten West Central Florida counties. Running a safety conference inside a working distribution operation was a deliberate choice. It keeps the day close to the kind of work it is about.
The Planning Committee is putting together a community give-back component for 2027 so that a day spent on workplace safety leaves something behind in the community that hosted it. Details will be announced here as they are confirmed.
Sponsors interested in underwriting the give-back component should contact the Planning Committee.
